A recipe for classic homemade donuts, fried until golden brown, then dipped in pink candy melts and topped with sprinkles, reminiscent of Homer Simpson's favorite treat.
To some warm milk, add your entire package of yeast and let that sit for 10 minutes. To your all purpose flour, throw your sugar, and salt in there. Mix all that together. Separate your flour in half and throw in your 2 beaten eggs, your yeast mixture, and your half cup of butter, mix all that together. Now throw in the rest of your flour and form your dough. Let your dough sit for an hour or until double in size. Roll out your dough and form your donuts. Let those rest for another 45 minutes. After the 45 minutes, put your donuts to fry until golden brown. Once done, let them sit in a rack to cool off. Melt a couple of candy melts in the microwave with a tad bit of oil. Once melted, dunk your donut in there. Throw your sprinkles on top and all done.
